Terms of Service

1. Definitions

"Platform" means the IncomeSafe website and mobile application. "Member" means a registered user with an active paid plan. "Community Fund" means the pooled contributions from all active members used to pay income support benefits. "Benefit Period" means the duration for which income support is payable under your plan.

2. Membership & Eligibility

To be eligible for IncomeSafe membership you must:

Be a salaried employee in India aged 21–60 years

Have been continuously employed for at least 6 months at your current employer

Provide accurate employment verification documents (Employee ID, offer letter, bank statement)

Not be under a performance improvement plan (PIP) or notice period at the time of joining

IncomeSafe reserves the right to verify your employment details and deny or revoke membership if fraudulent information is provided.

3. Plans & Payments

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually (with a discount). Annual plans are non-refundable after 14 days. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the billing period. No refunds for partial months.

Benefits are capped at your plan's monthly limit or your last drawn monthly salary (whichever is lower). Benefits are paid subject to Community Fund availability.

4. Waiting Period

A mandatory 90-day waiting period applies from your plan activation date. Claims submitted within 90 days of activation will not be eligible. This prevents adverse selection and ensures the fund remains sustainable for all members.

5. Claims Process

To file a claim you must:

Be an active member for at least 90 days

Have experienced involuntary job loss (layoff, retrenchment, company closure) — not resignation or termination for cause

Submit your claim within 30 days of your last working day

Provide supporting documents: termination letter, last salary slip, bank statement

IncomeSafe will process claims within 7 business days. Approved benefits are paid to your registered bank account within 3 business days of approval.

6. Exclusions

Income support is NOT payable if job loss is due to:

Voluntary resignation

Termination for cause (misconduct, fraud, disciplinary action)

Contract expiry (fixed-term contractors)

Business closure you had prior knowledge of at the time of joining

Self-employment, freelance, or gig work

Claims filed within the 90-day waiting period

Fraudulent or misrepresented claims

7. Termination

IncomeSafe may suspend or terminate your membership if you provide false information, abuse the claims process, or violate these terms. You may cancel your membership at any time from your dashboard.

8. Limitation of Liability

IncomeSafe's liability is limited to the amount of your plan's monthly benefit. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages. IncomeSafe does not guarantee payment if the Community Fund is insufficient — though we take actuarial steps to ensure fund sustainability.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Disputes under ₹10 lakh may be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
